Program Director / Head Coach - South Snohomish County Dolphins

South Snohomish County Dolphins (SSCD) Program Director/Head Coach Job Opening

The South Snohomish County Dolphins (SSCD) have an immediate opening for a Program Director/Head Coach.

This full-time salaried position is responsible for the overall management, leadership, and image of the swim club.

Wet side responsibilities include but are not limited to directly coaching at least one training group, overall design and oversight of all training groups and training schedules, attendance at swim workouts and meets, supervision of assistant coaches, determining club swim meet schedule, and recommending meet events, meet schedule and goal setting for individual swimmers.

Dry side responsibilities include but are not limited to handling or overseeing all meet information, meet results, meet publicity, team publicity, team travel, best times, team records, team files, team newsletter, team roster, media contacts, attendance at pertinent meetings, and preparation and presentation of a monthly report.

Qualified candidates must have competitive swimming experience as a coach with a strong desire to work with athletes of all ages and ability levels, along with outstanding communication and teaching skills. Leadership ability, dependability and a strong work ethic are a must.

Qualified candidates should at a minimum already possess the knowledge, skills and abilities that meet or exceed the following requirements; or have the ability to acquire prior to date of hire:

  • Valid certification as a USA Swimming Coach.
  • Successful completion of a USA Swimming Background Screening.
  • Valid certification in First Aid, CPR, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches (or Lifeguard Training equivalency).
  • Successful completion of the USA Swimming Foundations of Coaching test.
  • Successful completion of the American Swim Coaches Association Level 2 Stroke School.
  • Successful completion of the American Swim Coaches Association Level 3 Physiology School.

Senior Prep Coach - Bearcat Swim Club

Lead Senior Prep Coach

Bearcat Swim Club is searching for an energetic Lead Senior Prep Coach to join their staff. Bearcat Swim Club is a nonprofit organization managed by the Head Coach/Director.

With recent growth, this position will provide lead coaching to our Senior Prep program (ages 10-14) and could help assist with our Senior level swimmers if desired. The anticipated start date is April 5th, but can be flexible based upon the successful applicant’s availability. Duties will include serving as lead Senior Prep coach five to six days per week, plus meets.

Applicants must have 3-4 years competitive swimming experience as a coach. Qualified candidates should have a strong desire to work with young athletes, along with outstanding communication and teaching skills. Dependability and strong work ethic are a must. Member is good standing with USA Swimming, current on all safety requirements and background checks or the ability to achieve them.
