Swim Instructor - Portland SoccerPlex SportsCenter

We are looking for dynamic & experienced kids swim instructors. Our program focuses on fun, water safety and of course learning to swim. We are flexible with scheduling and pay based on experience. The hours vary based on your desire to work. We offer just instructor time or combination of instructor & administration hours. Weekly hours will vary between 20-35 hours per week and will include Saturday & Sundays.

All instructors must have current CPR & First Aid. Life Guard certification is a plus and can offer additional work opportunities. We have our own curriculum & additional instructor training that is required prior to teaching.

Assistant Site Coach - PAC

Assistant Site Coach- Columbia Pool and Southwest Community Center

Portland Aquatic Club is seeking a part-time year round site assistant coach for two of our Sites.  PAC is seeking a Site Assistant at Columbia Pool for two to three practices a week starting in September.  PAC is also seeking a Site Assistant Coach at Southwest Community Center for 4-5 practices a week starting as early as June 1.

Job Responsibilities include coaching PAC’s Bronze and Silver Age Group Squads and other age group squads as needed, as well as being available for additional subbing, and swim meets on select weekends.

The successful candidate should be a hard working person who is willing to teach young swimmers, to learn from PAC’s Staff, and has a passion for competitive swimming.

Applicants should have the following certifications (Athlete Protection, Background Screening, First Aid, CPR, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches).

Assistant Coach - Northwest Aquatics

Northwest Aquatics is seeking a part-time year round developmental coach for our growing team.

Job Responsibilities include coaching age group squads, teaching advanced swimming lessons, assisting in recruiting new swimmers, being available evenings and weekends for swim meets.

The successful candidate should be an inspirational and hard working person who has a passion for competitive swimming and teaching young swimmers.

Head Coach - Forest Grove Swim Club

Established in 1969, Forest Grove Swim Club (FGSC), a USA Swimming club based outside Portland Oregon, is seeking a full time head coach to lead our year-round program. FGSC is a 501(c)3, board directed, parent supported organization committed to providing an excellent swim experience to swimmers of all levels. FGSC stresses the development of the whole swimmer in and out of the pool. We focus on proper technique and allowing swimmers to have fun while learning and growing. Our club has a strong working relationship with Pacific University and the City of Forest Grove.Job Requirements: 1. Oversee a growing program with 100+ swimmers that meets the needs of novice, competitive and elite swimmers. 2. Serve as primary deck coach for Senior group. 3. Strong organizational skills. Manage assistant part-time coaches, attend board meetings, LSC meetings, and perform other administrative functions. 4. Lead, inspire and mentor coaches & athletes. 5. Evolve established collaborative relationships with the University, local high school teams, Oregon and USA swimming communities. 6. Embrace the concept of a community dedicated to excellence at ALL levels; strong communicator and outstanding track record of mentoring, training and placing staff.Qualifications: 1. Current USA Swimming Coach Certification in good standing, with current certification and clear background check. 2. ASCA Certified, Level 3/4 preferred. 3. A minimum of 5 yrs. of coaching experience w/prior Head Coaching experience strongly preferred. 4. Solid competitive swimming background with focus on technical expertise and experience coaching swimmers of different ages. 5. Strong communicator and motivator – both athletes and parent organization. 6. Strong organizational management and computer skills; must be able to fulfill administrative functions required to operate a USA Swim Club. 7. Working knowledge of Hy-Tek Team Manager/Meet Manager. 8.
